Overview of the Role

Participants will engage closely with client portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, marketers, and advisors to develop and execute sophisticated investment strategies. It's an excellent opportunity to help shape clients' financial futures while building your own expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Program Highlights:

The program begins in New York, where participants will gain a deep understanding of the firm's business strategies and the financial products they will work with. After the initial training, participants are assigned to a specific investment products team, working with senior leaders to design strategies that align with client goals. This experience covers various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, real assets, hedge funds, and private equity.

Team Assignments:

Participants may be placed in one of the following specialized teams:

  • Beta Strategies: Develops specialized index products and manages portfolios across different asset classes, including ETFs.
  • Equities: Handles a wide array of equity investment strategies globally, with a focus on leveraging the expertise of portfolio managers, analysts, and traders.
  • Fixed Income: Provides a comprehensive range of debt solutions, from investment-grade bonds to emerging market debt.
  • Hedge Funds: Manages hedge fund portfolios tailored to institutional and high-net-worth clients, offering a variety of investment options.
  • Liquidity: Specializes in managing short-term investments across various currencies and risk profiles, including money market funds and short-term fixed income.
  • Multi-Asset Solutions: Focuses on strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management to create comprehensive investment solutions.
  • Private Equity: Oversees the construction and management of private equity portfolios for clients.
  • Real Estate: Innovates in the realm of real estate investment, creating opportunities for clients in this sector.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent quantitative abilities paired with a deep interest in investing.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High levels of initiative, energy, and self-confidence.
  • A background in financial accounting, financial analysis, or mathematics is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (excluding MBA).
  • Enrolled at a U.S.-based college or university.
  • Expected graduation between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Must have permanent work authorization in the U.S., as JPMorgan does not sponsor work visas or provide support for OPT/CPT for this program.
